YONSED — Youth Network for Social & Environmental DevelopmentYONSED

Our Projects · Environment

Environmental advocacy, climate action, and natural resource management.

Environmental work is YONSED's founding purpose: advancing conservation and climate action from individual communities up to national policy dialogue, grounded in our main areas of specialization — environmental advocacy, climate change adaptation, natural resource management, solid waste management, and ecotourism.

Environment

Why it matters

Nepal's communities depend directly on forests, water sources, and a stable climate. Advocating for their protection — and building the policy dialogue to back it — is central to YONSED's mission of eco-friendly national development.

Who we work with

Municipal governments, rural communities, and youth volunteers across the districts where YONSED's projects operate.

Our Approach

What YONSED does

  • Policy-level dialogue and environmental advocacy campaigns
  • Awareness campaigns on climate change and natural resource issues
  • Action research, including field data collection such as GPS-based water-source mapping
  • Ecotourism planning and biodiversity conservation
  • Youth-led conservation campaigns such as Smriti Brichhya
