YONSED — Youth Network for Social & Environmental DevelopmentYONSED

Our Projects · Community Development

Working with municipalities and communities on the ground.

Much of YONSED's work is delivered in direct partnership with local governments — from municipal waste management to post-disaster recovery — reflecting our objective to promote green entrepreneurship and improve local livelihoods.

Community Development

Why it matters

Lasting environmental and social outcomes depend on local ownership. YONSED partners with municipalities and communities directly, rather than working around them.

Who we work with

Municipalities in Dhanusha and Saptari, earthquake-affected communities in Gorkha, and the 14 municipalities reached through Smriti Brichhya.

Our Approach

What YONSED does

  • Community-based solid waste management in partnership with municipal governments
  • Youth and community mobilization campaigns
  • Support for green entrepreneurship to improve local livelihoods
  • Post-earthquake recovery support, including eco-friendly school infrastructure
